Even then I know lots of people who only have a few extra dollars per paycheck to spend on games, and they usually buy games that they pirated if they find them enjoyable/worthwhile, its too bad that game demos have died out in the digital age, but understandable due to how easy it is to pirate games. People will always pirate games, but the amount of damage that it does is hard to truly measure, because one pirated download does not equal one lost sale in a majority of cases.
